Marina Manager - Anchen Stemmet

Anchen and her family moved to Langebaan in December 1988.  This move was the result of her husband being appointed as the Marina Manager of what was to become the first private marina in South Africa. Involvement in the launch of this unique facility meant the implementation of all systems and services related to the Marina.  This required a significant amount of assistance on the administration front which is where Anchen first wet her feet in the Marina office as the Marina Secretary.  Qualified as a conveyancing secretary Anchen had to adapt to an outdoor lifestyle on the resort.  Having the best office view one can ask for made that an easy transition. From the start the Marina has been managed like a family business.  Anchen managed all the admin, mooring bookings and secretarial work whilst her husband was “steering the ship”.  Through the years she gain valuable knowledge from her husband in regard to all the outdoor activities centred around the Marina, such as boat maintenance, dredger systems, general jetty maintenance and regattas.  After 17 years her husband retired and Anchen was appointed as the Marina Manager in October 2009.  She continues to strive, with the help of her dedicated team, to provide her customers with the world class service they have become accustomed to. Anchen and her team endeavour to keep the Marina as the same exciting holiday destination that it was at its opening in December of 1988.

Our 188 walk-on moorings in the Marina offer you safe berthing for your ski boat, cabin cruiser, yacht or catamaran. We can accommodate yachts up to 13.7m (45 ft) and catamarans with a maximum beam of 8m. Prior booking is essential. A reservation form must be completed.

Our fueling station is open 7 days a week from 08h00 until 17h00. For yacht owners we offer a valet service. Our cleaning lady will clean your boat inside and our marina staff will give it a good wash down on the outside. Mooring lines are checked daily by marina staff. Travel lift facilities for boat maintenance.

NSRI station 4 operates from our marina and their friendly and helpful staff are always ready to assist you in case of emergency.
